Now, this is a party I so wish I could have made, but I booked a hotel too far out and it clashed with the Independent Fashion Bloggers party, so despite my invite I couldn’t make it. Maybe next time?!
Estethica is the British Fashion Council’s sustainable initiative, something I’m quite passionate about, and Global Cool are a fantastic charity dedicated to convincing the entire world that you can reduce your carbon footprint without sacrificing style and fun!
The details I’ve had from people who made it sound amazing!
As well as 2 transvestites dressed entirely in recycled Charity Shop clothing celebrity guests included Jo Wood, Matt Horne, Carl Barat, Dan Gillespie Sells, Jade Parfitt, Jasmine Guinness and the gorgeous Petrina Khashoggi.
Matt Horne did a a set as a DJ along with Seb Chew and Beef Warehouse
It also seems, more distressingly, that I missed out on free sustainable sushi from Yo! Sushi and vodka from Snow Leopard. I am truly traumatised by missing this! Anyone who knows me personally will understand the extent of my pain at missing out on free vodka!
As compensation for my emotional trauma I am expecting to be sent one of the goodie bags from the night which apparently includes a free facial or body massage at the luxury Pacifica Spa in Notting Hill, a voucher from the eco underwear company Green Knickers, the ACME climate change book and a Monsoon CD. When it arrives I shall no doubt fill you in with further details!
My spies also inform me that Nick Moran let slip that he is to play the baddie in the next 2 Harry Potter films, which is exciting news! Less glamorously it appears the filming location is Watford. Which I guess is exciting if you live in Watford!
It looks like a fantastic event and a great time was had by all. I really hope to be involved more with both Global Cool and Estethica in future as they show us that we CAN have it all and be fabulous without destroying the planet.
I’ve been sent some great photos from the event, which I publish here for your viewing pleasure.
