Today is Retro Chicks one year anniversary! Exactly one year ago today I set up a Blogger blog and wrote my very first post. It started as an off shoot of my store selling vintage and pre loved clothing that I’d started up in November 2007.
To be honest I didn’t really know what to do with it at first and I didn’t really know much about blogging. It’s been a steep learning curve, but I’m increasingly enjoying the Retro Chick blog and all I can do with it, and I hope you enjoy reading it!
One of the best things I did was join Independent Fashion Bloggers as soon as I met their criteria. It’s taught me so much and it’s been great watching it grow and being involved with Links à la Mode and attending the London Fashion Week Dress Up! Party.
It’s most recent development has been the Little Birdie service to connect Bloggers to PR companies, designers and other sources of information. So I used it to ask for goodies I could give away to readers to celebrate Retro Chick’s blogging anniversary. Through the service I was contacted by a representative of PedEgg who has provided me with a PedEgg and Pampered Toes to give away as part of my goodie bag. I was very pleased to get a chance to try out a PedEgg as a friend of mine was telling me how great the one she bought was, but more on that tomorrow! As a regular high heel wearer I think it needs a proper review!
I have one goodie bag to give away to one lucky winner consisting of a Retro Chick shopping bag, hand stencilled by Mr Chick, who should soon be launching some of his art work for sale through the Retro Chick shop.
Inside the bag is a PedEgg, Pampered Toes, Green Knickers gift voucher, 10% off flyer for the Vivien of Holl0way offline store, a candle and a Maybelline Forever Lipcolor in Eternal Flame.
More pampering goodies to be added as and when I come across them!
