Heart’s Desire Jewellery is a partnership of two designers, Ann Marie Hodrick and Marie Johnson, who met when their children were at school together. Their jewellery is all hand crafted, making each piece totally unique.

Jewellery can be a bit of a minefield for ethical shoppers, but as well as recycling vintage components Hearts Desire also source most of their gems from a family run business in Jaipur and purchase recycled, or “refined”, sheet silver and silver wire, they also collect all their own offcuts to be refined.

Their vintage range is an eclectic one. Based on whatever individual vintage pieces Ann Marie has managed to find, from this kitschy cute “First Love” Necklace

First Love

To this dramatic, yet strangely delicate Art Nouveau Dragonfly necklace, which I think is my favourite piece

Or these elegant vintage brass and crystal chandelier earrings

Their pieces are high quality, yet reasonably priced for the work and effort that they evidently put into sourcing their pieces ethically and responsibly. A stunning piece of jewellery can be an heirloom, and a centrepiece to any outfit and with Heart’s Desire you can invest with an easy conscience. Shipping is free in the US, but if you are based in the UK or elsewhere don’t despair, they will ship overseas for an extra fee!

With Mother’s Day coming up in the US Hearts Desire are offering a 20% discount on all purchases from the 24th April to 10th May.

That first necklace is so adorable. It reminds me of something that the Naughty Secretary Club used to sell, only it’s a little more three-dimensional. What a clever, whimsical piece.

I like the brass and crystal chandelier earrings and I think they could be even more stunning in bright silver or even rhodium plated silver (which makes it look like white gold)
