Time for a quick bit of shameless self promotion today, I heartily apologise but I’ve been really busy with other bits and bobs and I have some really cute and unusual bits in store and more to come over the next week or so that deserve a bit of highlighting!
Some perfect Spring Summer day dresses.

If you fancy squeezing just a touch of nautical style into your wardrobe then these are great. The first dress is a vintage 1970s navy and white polka dot wiggle dress with batwing sleeves and gold lamé piping on the sleeves and neckline, it’s a size 12 and would look great with red shoes and handbag and some nautical accessories. The other spotty dress is from H&M, a size 12, with red white and grey polka dots and a navy yoke detail it has that retro nautical vibe without shouting about it.

If you fancy buying into the summer floral look then this beautiful, delicate duck egg blue vintage floral print dress in a size 12 is a good option. I actually wore this a few weeks ago and can confirm it feels lovely and swishy! The second dress is a vintage 80s set with a bold rose print. It’s a small 12 and would be ideal for a summer wedding or garden party.

If you prefer a more graphical print then this vintage 70s red chevron print dress is gorgeous. It’s a size 10-12, with loosely puffed elbow length sleeves and would look just as dramatic with flip flops as it would with killer heels. For a more muted summer look this 70s striped dress in shades of brown and beige would look great teamed with wooden wedges and a slouchy brown leather bag.
Separates are always versatile for summer and I’ve got some great summer skirts.

The 80s Floral skirt is a size 14, and I have worn it as a dress before, making it even more versatile! The middle skirt is size 12 70s A line in bright orange which is great for colour blocking with yellow or pink for hot summer nights. The last skirt is a contemporary Wallis skirt in cream with subtle stripe detail. It’s a size 10 and is structured enough to wear to work but casual enough for flip flops and a vest.

On your top half go early 90s boho beige with this size 10 beaded and embellished spaghetti strap top, great for hot days with those summer essential wide legs trousers, nautical style with a striped faux wrap top in size 16, cover up with this size 12 loose embroidered New Look tunic or sassy country chic with this gorgeous gingham and lace Kookai bustier in a size 8, which looks great with denim and cowboy boots.
Next week should see the Retro Chick store arrival of some new dresses, including some vintage 80s leopard print and a great green 80s dress with structured shoulders, a few new skirts, including a Hobbs polka dot dirndl skirt and a cute 80s peach check jacket.

Utterly shameless self promotion over and out for today, normal service will be resumed shortly!
