Oh dear. It would appear that the gorgeous baking hot Summer weather has finally given up the ghost.
Goodbye heatwave, hello torrential downpours and thunder and lightning.
Yesterday I went to the Post Office in a Summer dress and shoes. I was out of the house for 10 minutes, it started raining as I left the Post Office and I was drenched within seconds, much to the amusement of passing motorists and shop keepers. In the end I had to call Mr Chick to come and rescue me with an umbrella.
Unfortunately I can’t entertain you with photos of yesterdays humorous drenching, but a similar thing happened to me in November last year (I’m just unlucky, and don’t try and convince me you take an umbrella EVERY TIME you leave the house for 10 minutes) and maybe a photo of that will brighten up your damp and dreary day?
To brighten up my own damp and dreary day I have hunted down some wet weather themed goodies on Etsy to cheer me up. None of it will keep me very dry, but at least I’ll be soggy and stylish.
