Blogger, designer of stunning jewellery I can’t afford and all round fabulous lady Wendy Brandes is in Paris, and I am jealous. My school girl french translated the title and I probably have some wrong tense or something, but the principle is the same, I’m still jealous!
I went to Paris a few years ago, and, despite the fact that the temperature was meltingly hot, over 35 degrees for the whole trip, I absolutely loved the city.
(You may notice I look a little larger in these pictures, 3 stone larger to be precise, but that’s another story….)

It was packed with tourists, but didn’t seem overcrowded and didn’t seem to have given up it’s spirit to pander to them like other destinations can. It’s a city I would love to know better and next time I can afford to go back I have plenty of bloggers to harass for great new places to visit.
In the meantime I shall have to be content with eating croissants, drinking coffee and being surly all in the UK. At least until the release of Coco avant Chanel at the end of the month gives me some Francophile eye candy to keep me going for far less than the cost of a Eurostar ticket.
In the meantime I have been making Parisian inspired collages on Polyvore.

Oh, surely you can afford the Teeny Genie someday, no? http://wendybrandes.com/blog/2009/03/teeny-genie/
She’ll give you three wishes and you can wish to go to Paris for one of them.
Oh the teeny genie is so cute! Someday I will buy a teeny genie, or I shall persuade someone else to buy me a teeny genie!
Maybe I should put the money towards a Paris trip rather than a Teeny Genie? Hmmm?
I always find it funny when people speak so highly of Paris and Parisian style since it is where I grew up and spent the first 25 years of my life and I really don’t see what is so great about Paris!
I find London much more playful and interesting fashion wise.
I guess that’s why they say the grass is always greener.
I hope you get to go back to Paris soon though! And that Miss B is having a great time there.

I think I agree with you, London is far more playful fashion wise. But I love London too!
I think I have the side of me that loves to play dress up and run around in the park, and the side of me that wants to buy quality basics and drink cocktails in chic bars!
I think I’d just be jealous of anyone going anywhere exciting right now, I was jealous of your trip to Stockholm, but I’ve never been there so it lacked the nostalgia for me!
