If I’m honest I don’t think very often about how green my pants are. They’re so small, aand it’s not like I have a huge selection of frilly fripperies, I tend to just buy the cheapest ones I can find and have done with it.
I certainly never thought my pants could save the world, not unless I am soon to discover I have super powers and need to wear them on the outside of my clothes.
But now I’ve found that my pants can save the world! Greenknickers uses fair-trade cotton and sustainable fabrics like hemp and bamboo and organic and natural dyes. They ship overseas by sea and use recycled materials for labels and gift boxes, and all that just for pants!

They have pretty pants, a bog standard pack of 3, special pants for weddings and even pants with padded liners for cyclists! Prices are pretty reasonable, though on the high side for me, but I guess £15 for a 3 pack of pants isn’t too bad to save the planet.
If you want to save the planet with your pants AND look super sexy then I think the place to look is Enamore. We’re not talking cheap here, about £49 for a bra, but this isn’t just ethical pants, it’s made to order, retro styled, ethical lingerie with a range that includes garter belts, camisoles and sleep masks. It doesn’t seem that under-wiring is ethical yet, so all the bras are soft cup, but it’s so beautiful I’ll let that go for now!
Enamore is also having a ‘Summer Fever’ Sale so you can get some fashion conscious ethical bargains before the site relaunch in Autumn AND free shipping in the UK.
