Let Me Check my Calendar…..

I can never remember what date it is. In the old days we had to check diaries, calendars or watches. Now, of course mobile phones and computers keep us up to date (Ho ho! See what I did there?)

But what if there was a more glamorous way to check the date?

I got an email about this gorgeous jewellery last week and I quite fancy getting 12 of the bracelets and necklaces and wearing a different one every month. You can even pick the day of the month you want the gemstone to be embedded so if you’ve a special occasion there’s no excuse for forgetting.

Gold Necklace

I would have to be quite rich to get 12, of course, as they range from $125 for a silver bracelet to $400 for a rose gold necklace (which is naturally my favourite due to my unswerving ability to be instantly drawn to the most expensive of anything even before anyone shows me the price)

In reality I think they would make an adorable Birthday or Anniversary gift, just make sure you get the date exactly right, you can’t move that stone!

These pieces are available from dalla nonna Jewellery. dalla nonna translates (from Italian) to mean “from the grandmother” and is designed by Rebecca Richards and Jessica Bohrer, who apparently are lawyers by day and jewelry designers by night, which sounds like the plot of the worlds weirdest Super Hero movie.

The design for their signature calendar jewellery is apparently taken from a tie pin of Jess’ grandfathers. It has a cute vintage chic appeal, and also, very practical for those of us who remain incapable of remembering birthdays without assistance.

I’ve got that same ability… drives me crazy! ;)

These are gorgeous pieces, though, and it’s no surprise you’re so attracted to them!

I have the same ability too…but it tends to happen with shoes more.

Those ARE gorgeous and cute! I quite like the idea of having one, even though I’m really good about remembering dates. (They should make manlier versions, for that special person…haha)

Michelle – I thought when I was looking at them that they should make a boy version!

Ha, a boy version would be in order! Though sadly, mine always knows what’s coming up and I usually have no idea what the date is on any given day! I could use these. Maybe they’ll do a cheaper version so we could actually use one every month and year!
