Retro Chick is sad, so sad, that she can’t be around this weekend to visit the House of Red or Dead pop up shop in Carnaby.
I’ve loved Red or Dead since the 90s when the great Wayne Hemingway was in charge. It’s since been sold off, but I still love their slightly quirky offbeat style. My Red or Dead shoes are my favourites (if only there were more opportunities to wear purple shiny shoes.)

If you are around you should pop along to 65-67 Broadwick Street from 2pm this Thursday 26th November where the Red or Dead Autumn Winter 2009 collection will be showcased along with their footwear, Handle With Care bags and What a Spectacle Optical frames.
You’ll also be able to buy the new single by Robots In Disguise who will be performing an exclusive live performance at the shop at 2pm on Saturday. Barry M products will also be available to buy, as Robots In Disguise and Barry M have teamed up to bring you the NEW ‘Robot Blue’ lipstick which will be seen in the Robots in Disguise video for their new single released in early 2010.

Oh Red or Dead….such a magical name when I was about 9 or 10. I seem to remember Kylie wearing their stuff and thinking that made it extra cool. Oh dear!

The anklet is attached to the shoe! I really love those shoes.
Red or Dead did something like 21 seasons at London Fashion Week and in the mid 90s they were HUGE! I think they’re a very British brand though, so possibly why you don’t know them?
