The more eagle eyed amongst you (or not!) may have noticed that this is a sponsored post. This is something I do very occasionally, and only ever if it’s for a product I like, would use myself, and want to talk about.

When I got an email from Evian asking me to write about their new limited edition Paul Smith designed bottle I was a little bemused, but quite keen.

Evian as a brand is one I’ve been using ever since I was old enough to spend my own money. I used to buy Evian branded face spray in the Summer (back when I had money to spend on expensive things like mineral water to spray on my face) and I’ve been drinking their bottled water (among others. I’m the least brand loyal person ever, sorry!) for years.

In recent years I’ve become very aware of the environmental impact of bottled water as has the rest of the world, and the bottled water industry has suffered as a consequence. Thankfully Evian is one of the brands that is addressing the environmental impact of their business model through everything from recycling programs and transporting of goods to setting up the Evian Water Protection Insitute.

It might not be as eco-friendly as filtering your own tap water but it’s certainly more convenient when you’re on the go, and the Paul Smith designed bottled looks a lot more chic on a dining table than a plastic filter jug. (though you could always refill it from a bigger bottle afterwards, shhh!)

So, lets talk about the sexy new bottle collaboration. Paul Smith is a designer known for his sense of fun and exuberance and correspondingly the bottle design has a feeling of energy, with a nod to Paul Smiths famous stripes. Apparently there are also 5 different caps to collect, though at $13.95 a bottle I imagine one will be more than enough for me.
