I Want To Be a Head & Shoulders Girl

I just LOVE this ad.

I know it’s been on a few weeks now, but I’m getting increasingly obsessed with it. I might have a bit of a girl crush on all of them. I’m not sure why they’re nurses, maybe the “medicated” nature of Head and Shoulders shampoo, but I want to BE a Head & Shoulders girl.

Every time it comes on I try and closely scrutinise them for hints on how I can make my hair look THAT cool.

Expect new experiments in the coming weeks…..

See…. i have a theory on this. Although I like the hair do’s (lots of fixing gel or brylcreme by the looks of it? possibly?) I cannot fail to notice that because vintage style is “in” the big brands are cashing in. We got a catalogue through the post the other day (the penance I pay for shopping on line it would seem) and practically every other product from tee’s to shoes was labled “vintage”. It blatently wasen’t. Its like when Union Jacks became popular. You cannot escape them now – in various guises. Or maybe its just because I am into vintage and the 40′s that I notice it more these days? Am i going mad? Over and out.

Oh yes, but big brands will always do that.

I don’t mind really, because I like the look! I have no problem with the vaguaries of Fashion and trends picking up on certain looks. You either follow them or you don’t, and I don’t really mind if people think you’re doing something because it’s fashionable either!

I do object to the word “vintage” being used as an adjective because it’s meaningless! Vintage could mean anything from the 50s to the 90s and it’s therefore a meaningless word to use to describe a product!

It’s so cute that you are in love with the girls and don’t even notice the boy!

I’ve been obsessing over that ad too, and doing the same thing, scrutinising it for hair styling tips!
